Lil Man

So it is a boy. I admit that I was shocked, but just as excited. The whole process seems so much more real now that we are not having an 'it', but a 'he.' Our parents were excited to find out that they were going to have a lil grandson as well. I am already looking forward to the late nights throwing the baseball, shooting the basketball and tackling the lil guy. Hopefully his athletic abilities will be far beyond my own.
We learned the other day that our lil man already has developed his own finger prints and his facial features are forming. And people say that a fetus isn't a human?

Well lil guy mommy and daddy are really looking forward to you. And mom knows that she is going to be outnumbered...looks like SportsCenter will continue after all!!!

17 weeks belly!

Ultra Sound

Its a...

Boy! We were so shocked, but it was so great. God played a trick on us- for believing all of those silly superstitions and old wives tales! It is even better this way, because we were so set on a girl- that we wouldn't have even been surprised. This way we were shocked... It was so much fun to see that our package has a package! Or as Uncle Artie says- your package is packin'!!! He was so cute moving around all over the place! The ultra sound tech. was like I am having to chase him around he is so active, flippin circles and dancing the boogie- yep he is a Harris! I am sure he will get his sporty side from Daddy too though!

So the boy quilt- is now his, I am not going to even have to start a girl quilt- well until one of my many pregnant friends finds out that they are having a girl. Right after our appointment we went to look at paint colors and settled on yellow! We are so excited to start getting everything ready for the little guy!

Can't Wait!

Tommorow's the big day! can't wait to see what the baby does or doesn't have. My boy quilt is almost finished... so I may not even have to start a girl one! I'll just have to make another one for my friend Katie who is having a boy! I sure hope the lil one is positioned well- and photogenic!

The Best Birthday Yet...

As least that is what I am hoping for...this Friday is my birthday and at 10 am we have an ultra-sound appointment to hopefully detect if we have a lil girl or boy. Of course that is highly dependent upon whether or not the baby is cooperating, or if shem is photogenic if you know what I mean. If shem is shy it could be a bit longer before we know. Seems like it would be pretty exciting to find out the good news on my birthday.
Crazy that we are almost halfway to the starting line. Life is going to change so much...I am sleeping in at every possible opportunity, I hear there won't be much of that happening for awhile. I keep saying that there is no way I will hear the baby crying in the night, but i am sure that a nice nudge from alex will help me hear.

Well lil' kiddo, there are lots of people anticipating your arrival already, but none more than mom and dad. See you on Friday, and you better be cooperative or I will add another whoopin to your already long list...

4 more days.

Boy or Girl?

We are both pretty convinced that the baby is a girl. Not really sure why, but it just seems right. We could find out as soon as Tuesday what the little one is... but it may take a few more tries. I really hope they don't tell us what they think it it- and later find out for sure that it is the other. I hope it is a for sure- or we are not sure- am I making any sense? It sounds good in my head- but doesn't look quite right in words.

I have been working on a boy quilt which I think I subconciously did first, because I knew it was a girl. I am new at this quilting thing, so I figured I would practice and get all my gitters and mess ups done on the first quilt. I want our baby's quilt to be so perfect. But actually the boy one is turning out to be just fine... if I must say so my self! We will be so happy and excited if it is a boy too. Its not like we are hoping for a girl- just think it is one. Probably because of these silly psycho tricks Kelsey has been doing on me. They always read girl... and strangely enough on all of the pregnant women she has tested- the pencil on a string test has never failed.

Only God knows- but thankfully He may let us know in a few days or a few weeks.
