Snap Shot

December-February
0-2 Months SO SLEEPY!  She sleeps ALL the time.  We rarely get to see her eyes.  When she is awake the boys love to hold her, especially Cruz.  Cy is a great helper- getting mommy things I need like a diaper, pacie, etc but Cruz loves to hold her!  Daddy always gets her, changes her diaper, and bring her to me at night.   She sleeps on her back, has found both of her thumbs taste good, and is nursing great.  The first 3 weeks I didn’t think we would ever figure out how to nurse.  I went to the consultant 2 different times, and finally at about 4 weeks we were champs together!  She eats about every 2 hours except at night she goes much longer between feedings.  6-8 hour stretches! Hazel never leaves the house without a bow- and usually wears one at home too!  Gotta get her used to it, she has a million to wear.  Unlike the boys Hazel will sit on our laps without being bounced, rocked, swayed, sung to, entertained.  She doesn’t spit like they did either, such a lady!  She loves doing “that one thing”  with her daddy- and they disappear for hours at a time together.

The transition from 2-3 seems so easy right now, Hazel is such a good baby.  She sleeps so much we hardly no she is around.  The boys are having a lot of quality time with mom and dad while she is asleep and not acting jealous at all.  Cy is playing basketball at Thornwilde Elementary and LOVING it.  He is very good at it too!  Cruz has recently developed a love for gymnastics, so mommy has been teaching him the basics to build up his muscles/balance/flexibility.  Cruz is back at Sonshine Preschool and we are so happy we made the decision to take him back “home”.  This is where Cy went for all 3 years of preschool!  Cy is learning to read- and it is amazing to see his eyes light up as he recognizes words!

The boys got a Wii for Christmas and love playing Mario Kart and Wii Sports.  More than that though, they love playing board games.  Monopoly, Sorry, Trouble, and Sequence are some of our favorites.  Cy is all time Champ at Memory- no one can seem to beat him!  And Cruz loves to entertain us all with his dancing/singing extravaganzas!  We are so ready for this SNOW to be over!  Its unbelievable!  13 snow days this year!  But the boys have had fun sledding, building an igloo with Papa, and lots of OLAF’s.  Frozen was definitely a hit in our home.  We even got to go to a real recording studio and record the boys singing the songs on CD!  Hazel got to take her first airplane ride to San Diego, for a Pastors conference.  She was an excellent traveler.  And it was a very special time for Mommy and daddy to have with sweet baby girl.

Our family of five is so sweet- We are all so blessed to have each other!
