Daddy went out of town for a conference planning trip last week. The third night without daddy, Cy said, "Mommy is Daddy EVER coming home?" I said Oh baby, of course he is coming home. Then I thought how sad it is that some daddy's never do come home. I used it as a teaching moment and talked to him about how thankful we are to have such a good daddy. We talked about how much daddy loves us, always plays with us, and listens to us... I explained to him that some kids don't have daddy's- so we need to be super thankful that we not only have one, but that we have the BEST one! He said yeah- like Charlie doesn't have a daddy. That's right buddy- she doesn't have a daddy, but we know a lot of kids who have great daddy's right? Like Anna Kate and Coleson, and Layne and Macy, and Dreyson and Jarren. Do you know anyone else who does not have a daddy? (que music) /yeah our baby sister doesn't have a Mommy or a Daddy and she needs to come home soon!
Cy you have the sweetest heart, and you are learning so much about Jesus' love and teaching others about Him everyday! I am so proud of you!
In case you do not know yet... we are adopting from Jamaica. It may be a long wait, or we could get a phone call any day with info on our child coming home to her mommy and daddy!
